Hello Experts!

I hope I posted on the right thread because I’ve been trying to find solutions for quite some time now. Whenever I clicked on the icon of my Phoenix Viewer placed in my desktop, an error is appearing. I can’t make it work correctly so the effect is it doesn’t open so the client could not log in. I am asking for help now.

Please send me some resolutions.

Thanks.

Error message:

C:Program FilesPhoenix ViewerPhoenixViewer.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.

Please see the application event log for more detail.

Phoenix Viewer Failed to start due to wrong configuration

If you are getting the Error message ‘C:Program FilesPhoenix ViewerPhoenixViewer.exe. The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.’ , it is most likely due to the fact that your MS C++ Runtime libraries appfix are missing. Another cause can be that the two viewers don’t work and play well together. They are trying to share file that they have in common but since the settings are different, thus the error.

You need to download Appfix, which is also known as side by side fix. You can download the appfix installer here https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/side-by-side-configuration-is-incorrect-in-windows-10-fixed/.

Once you are done with the installation, you should be able to get all of your viewers to work.
