My printer is not working properly
If you can start your printer then you have no problem with the device itself. Check now the components that let your printer communicate with the computer. Check the printer cable or the USB cable if it is properly and securely connected to its respective port. If the connection seems ok, see if the computer already added the printer in its installed devices.

To see if Windows already added your printer in its installed devices, click View installed printers or fax printers under Pick a task. Your printer will appear on the list.

If it’s not on the list, connect the printer cable or the USB cable to the computer and see if Windows detects it. If it’s not detected, try adding it manually using the Add Hardware wizard. If your printer uses a USB cable to connect to the computer, use all the available ports on the computer if it’s not detected in one port. If you already used all the available ports and still nothing happened, read the printer’s manual and do a Test Print. If the printer can do a test print, the problem is with the cable connecting to the computer. Replace it.
If Windows cannot detect your hardware, Windows cannot install its driver.
