Hi all,

Last week I bought  a Samsung ml-1610 for my desktop computer with Windows Vista. I install the printer and restart the computer as I was asked. I am trying to print a document but it shows spooling problem. How can I fix this?

Thanks.

Hello! To solve this problem, go to Start – run – type services.msc and click on ok or go to start – control panel – administrative tool – services – double click on the printer spooler service to start automatically – restart your computer. If this does not work, go to start – control panel- add/remove program – uninstall the printer and reinstall the printer again

Please reinstall the printer driver.  It is possible that it wasn't installed correctly or has somehow gotten corrupted.

To ensure that the printer drvier is able to write all its files, right-click on the installer's executable and "Run as Administrator".  Follow the instructions especially when it says whether to connect or to disconnect the USB cable.  Connect the USB cable only when the installation program tells you to.

Do not forget to print a test page after installation.

Also check that the spool service of Windows Vista is enabled.  To check: right-click on the "Computer" icon -> select Manage and look for Services.  Look for "Print Spooler" service and check that its Startup Type is not set to "Disabled".
