The installer cannot install the upgrade patch

ERROR_PATCH_TARGET_NOT_FOUND 1642 The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program.

Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.

I do not have patch 1.1 of Crysis yet. I went straight to 1.2. I get the following Windows Installer Wrapper message:

An error occurred installing the package. Windows Installer returned '1642'.

Any ideas on what this means? The version I bought on Amazon is a Russian import if that means anything.
