I can’t open my accounts after Windows Vista Update

I am unable to open my AOL email account, Facebook and bank account on my computer which operates with Windows vista.

The problem started after I updated the Windows Vista.

I tried logging into the listed accounts after the update without any success.

However, I am able to open my accounts on other computers.

What is wrong with my computer?

Please help.

This is another problem that resulted in upgrading. This problem is normal when upgrading any application in your computer.

But if this problem happened in your operating system, it’s as if your system is crippled. If you created a restore point before upgrading your Windows Vista, try to restore your computer using that restore point you created to restore your system back to what it used to be before the upgrade.

But if you did not create any restore point before upgrading your operating system and you just relied on your computer that everything will work smoothly since it was only an upgrade, then your system will stay that way for good unless you format it.

Try to check your hard drive for any possible errors using a disk utility application. But if you don’t have one installed, you can use Windows’ own disk check tool just like the steps described below:

  1. Right-click drive C and then select Properties.
  2. Click Tools tab.
  3. Click Check Now.
  4. Check Automatically fix file system errors then click Start.

If you still cannot access any of the stuffs that you mentioned you are having problems with after checking your computer, the last option would be to format your hard drive and install Windows Vista again. When you are finished installing Windows Vista, don’t install any applications yet. Create a restore point and then update your operating system first before installing all your other applications.

After the update try to access your AOL email account and all of the other stuffs that you had problems with. If the problem came back, then updating your operating system is not good. Just restore your computer to its previous state using the restore point you created.

Good day

Malware damage and protection software suites.

You can't boot the recovery CD so that points to machine issues.

Since Windows is not running at that time, Windows can't be the issue.

We have to look to getting the CD and media booting again which is not a Vista issue.
