Hello techyv,

How to set up a Skype connects LAN? I tried to connect my Skype application on my HP laptop with Windows 7 operating system but there is an error regarding my internet broadband connection. Do you have an image of the proper LAN internet connection set up?

Expecting some help from you guys.

The complete process is given below:

1: Go to your computer’s property.

2: Now click on change settings.

Computer Name

3: Under the “Computer Name” tab click on “Change”.

4: Select and type your “Computer name” and “WorkGroup Name”.

Domain Change

5: Then the message will appear to “Restart” your computer. “Restart” your machine.

Restart Computer

After restarting your “Workgroup” will be appearing.

1: Go to your system’s “Control Panel”.

2: Click on “Network and Internet” and then click on “Network and Sharing Center”.

3: Now click on “HomeGroup” then go to “Advance Sharing Center” there are two types given Home to work or Public.

4: If you select Home to work just turn on the “Network Discovery” and turn file and printer sharing and then turn on a public folder sharing and “Enable” the next step and allow window to manage.

5: For “Public” follow the step 4 and for last process turn off password protecting sharing only.

6: Now click on “Change Adapter Settings” simply plug your cable and it will recognize the network.

7: It’s time for you to set-up your “IP” for this right click on “Local Area Connection” and go to its properties.

8: Go to your “Internet Protocol Version 4” or click on properties.

9: in “IP” box give your “IP” address. Under “Subnet Mask” just pre “TAB” key to automatically generate numbers. Click on OK and you done.
