I am really interested in creating my own personalized Windows Event Log Notification System. I read about that in a forum in a website and all I can see is, of how happy they are about it. But it does not say on the forum, how to do that.

I tried asking how to create and personalize a Log Notification System but I could not find the right answers. All the steps they posted did not work.

I hope someone here can give me a proper walk through. I would really appreciate it.

Absolutely Windows Event Logs, are a tremendous resource to help you troubleshoot any current system issues and they can also provide you with warning signs, of potential future problems. Yeah you are right, as examining through the Event Logs or creating custom views can be a burdensome manual process.

So keeping the events, your system records can be a key to keeping your system running as it should. Luckily, there is a solution, freeware utility, MyEventViewer, which will easily allow you to export and filter Windows Event Log entries and then have them emailed and / or saved to a simple text file.

When this process is configured as part of a scheduled task, you can have for instance, warning and error messages emailed to you automatically. All the configuration settings and options are commented in the script, so you can easily understand that.
