Can I place registry entry comments in .reg files?

Hi there.  Can someone help me out here?  Can I place registry entry comments in .reg files and is this possible?  Some say you can do this by putting ; or # at the beginning of the line.  So, what is the correct way?  I'm on Windows XP 64 bit.

Hi,
Yes, you can do it without any problems. You just need to put a semicolon sign ( ; ) before the comment you want to put into your .reg file.

For example, it should be like this:
