GIMP Error Permission denied to open files

Hi there,

I want to open some file made at college and on my PC at home this error appears. I am surprised because at college everything worked just fine. Can anyone help me please to fix this error ? What could be the problem ?

DDS: It appears your image may be a volume map, but not all layers are the same size, thus a volume map cannot be written.

As it is seen in the error message that image is a volume map and the layers are not of the same size.

You need to follow the simple steps, given below.

  1. Merge all layers that are included in the file.
  2. merg-layersCrop the image.

It will  work and you may not have the error again.
