I have been using two PDF readers simultaneously, Adobe Reader and Nitro Pro 7.

Yesterday while using Nitro Pro 7 to convert an XLS file to PDF, I was met with a n error.

It was working perfectly before but now when I try to convert an xls file into PDF using Nitro, it says that it is already a PDF file and not an Xls file so it cannot be converted. I get the following error message:

Nitro Pro

Nitro Pro

There was a problem converting one of your source files

(C:UsersjbbakerAppDataLocalTemp4025-xxxxx-xxx-Rev#

Compliance Matrix.Pdf) to PDF. Nitro pro is unable to combine

the selected files.

                                                              OK

I also tried to convert Doc files to Pdf using Nitro, and it is working fine but not with the xls file. Why is that so? Recently I updated the adobe reader 10.1.3 so I thought that might be causing a problem so I uninstalled it and also reinstalled the Nitro PDF reader. Again the same error occurred.

Can anyone explain where am I making a mistake? Why is Nitro Pro 7 nut working properly?

Your suggestions are required to resolve the problem.

Regards

Bill

Nitro Pro 7 conversion error

Hello Johnnie,

If you are able to successfully convert other files using the PDF Nitro and it is most probable that the error is being caused by the xls file you are trying to convert. One of the following could be the problem with it.

  • The format you have saved the file in is not supported for conversion with the PDF Nitro Converter. You will therefore need to check the available supported formats that the file can be saved in so that it can work well with the PDF Nitro.
  • The PDF Nitro may be having some temporary problems. Have you tried restarting the computer? If not yet then try doing so. You can as well shut down all its processes in the task manager and the restart them and see how it will work.

Carl
