My computer has Core 2 processor with 2GB DDR2 RAM and Windows Vista 32-Bit installed on it. I am getting problem with the installation of Internet Explorer 9. I have installed it from the internet but the installation was not completed. When I am trying to re-install it I am getting an error message which says, the latest version is installed. But the Internet Explorer 9 is not displaying in the Programs and Features. So I am not able to uninstall it. When I have turned off the internet Explorer my PC was working properly. What is to be done? Can I wait for the update window or I have to install it again? But how can I do it? Please help me to get out of this problem. I will thankful for all help.

Minimum OS requirements need to be met before we can install Internet Explorer 9. Windows Vista(x86 and x64) with Service Pack 2 is required.

If you are getting the message that the latest version is already installed, you may verify it by 2 steps. First, open Internet Explorer then click on Help and About Internet Explorer. It will display which version you currently have. Second, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Look for Windows Internet Explorer 9. If the application is there, that means you do have the latest version installed.

If the steps above display other Internet Explorer versions, it means that the installation is not completed. You may wish to try to uninstall the Internet version that you have so it will default to Internet Explorer 6 then reinstall again.

Try to also run Windows Update as there are software and components that Internet Explorer 9 installs which may not be installed automatically. Try to disable temporarily any antivirus and antispyware software if you are unable to install Internet Explorer 9.
