Do I Need A External Drive or USB Drive?

I am not sure what kind of drive we really need. We do not have any hard drives except the ones in our machines. We are going on a trip and want to use a drive for multiple purposes. We need to have one for movies and music plus be able to store our photos on from our digital camera. Can we do all this on one drive? Any suggestions on what would be best?

Hello! According to me USB drive is better than external drive. It is comparatively easy to handle USB because of its smaller size and lgihter weight. External hard is better if you're using in your office or home purpose not for travelling it occupy large space n greater care than USB. Now USB's are also available in 2, 4, 8, 32, even 64+ GB so go and buy one best suitable to your budget.

Happy travels.

You can go for any of those actually. As, Pen drives also come with a lot of space, at a quite cheap price now days. Also, Pen drives are much easier to handle and carry.

However, my personal suggestion would be, you go for an external hard drive. As you are going for a trip and want to load a lot of things to it. It will give you even more space, 1TB, 2 TB, etc. And a lot of attractive, light and handy hard drives are available in the market nowadays. As per experts, for storing mass data, external hard drives are always a better option. Though it will cost a little more compared to the pen drive.

Recently, I bought one, which is performing amazingly. Below is a picture of the same. It's Sony, 1 TB.
