Deployment error with 3DS Max Deployment

I got this error message while I was making a deployment.

It has an error about accessing a file folder followed by a windows installer error.

It says that my 3DS Max Deployment creation fails with access error.

But why did it display such error when I can have total access to my folders.

I presume it has nothing to do with access rights. What could it be? I am totally confused about this.

Any suggestion would be a great help to me.

Deployment error with 3DS Max Deployment

Yes, this 1304 problem has a very simple solution. Microsoft Windows normally supports 256 characters for creating folder name. When the folder name exceeds the 256 character, this error occurs.

Therefore, shortening the folder name or path will help installing 3DS Max Deployment smoothly.

Example:  In your error picture box, you can see that the there are many sub folder is visible. After these sub folders are created, the html file is trying to install in the PC. As the total subfolder name is more than 256 character altogether, the file is denied to install in the computer.

When the setup wizard starts upon installing the 3D max or 3DS Max Deployment, use the custom path option to create simple installed directory like D:3dmax2011-installed or something like that. This will solve the 1304 error problem.
