Excel file missing after editing in Windows 7, 64bit.

My OS is Win 7 64 bit.

I got an excel attachment in my Hotmail which needed some editing.

I opened it and edited  without forgetting to save continuously but later when I reopened excel, the file was missing.

Did anyone have such an experience?

If so, please help me to fix this...
