How can I send data to traditional Systems Applications and Products (SAP) systems and dual stack SAP system? How could I identify that the legacy data is running on the SAP server? Anyone help?
If you are using a Distributed Dual-Stack System, then you will note that every integrated instance of the SAP NW AS will contain in it the dispatcher its work processes, which will be able to process the ABAP programs. The dispatcher will also be able to process the AS Java with its corresponding server processes. As for the ICM, it will be used when it comes to receiving all the requests and it will as well forward the ABAP requests to the ABAP dispatcher and also sends the Java requests to a Java server process.
But when it comes to very large systems, what you will need to do is to configure the central services instance on the ABAP side too, and when you have done that you will have configured it so that its availability will be high.
