I have cable Internet at home. I decided to change the modem that the ISP gave me.

I thought it was a good idea.

The problem is, I can't go online thru the new modem.

If I replace the new modem with the old modem, the Internet works.

My new modem is a CM100.

I am new to VMware server 2.0.

I downloaded VMware and installed windows XP. I read that the old version of VMware allowed to map a host OS folder that was made visible as a drive letter inside the guest operating system. Is this feature available in version 2.0 ? If so how do i turn it on?

I know you can easily do this with shared folders but i don't want to share folders in the guest operating. The reason is shared folders are susceptible to virus attacks.

Appreciate your help in this regard.

Hello,

I am looking on the most suitable software to communicate with a Linux box from a windows box.

My need is to be able to remotely connect to the Linux box, transfer files and execute shell scripts.

I tried using windows telnet commands with Linux but it does not support file transfer.

Are there any free tools out there that i can use?

Hello Everyone,

I've recently purchased an Apple iMac 24'' and using Mac OS X v10. 5 Leopard. I've a small business Center and all my setup is organized on Mac platform.  But in my office I have a File server which is Linux based and I have got a wireless network system.

My problem is I can't access my File server from my iMac.

Is there anyone who can help me to access in my File server from my iMac.

Thanks.
