Xbox is one of the best gaming console for heavy gaming and of course, for super entertainment. This one is developed by Microsoft, and the OSs are built based on their famous Windows system for PC and other system.
Xbox is run by three OSs. One is Xbox OS which is developed based on Windows kernel. This makes the OS almost Windows-like but not Windows. Another is for virtually running two OSs to communicate with each other as a hypervisor. For this reason, Skype calls and other such features are available while playing games.
Microsoft offers a SDK for developing Xbox games. Developers use that and release games for this platform.
Xbox 360 is allowed to be updated offline via USB drive.
1. Format your pendrive or USB flash storage in FAT32 file system.
2. Download the latest Xbox update.
3. Unzip the compressed file to your pendrive.
4. Unplug the pendrive from your PC and connect to your Xbox console.

Below are the possible steps to update on Xbox LIVE;
1.   Connect your Xbox to broadband and connect to Xbox LIVE. Your console will restart when you connect to Xbox LIVE.
2.   If you are already registered member of Xbox LIVE then the console show you the possible updates. Select Yes and wait till finish. If you are not a member of Xbox Live, then Go to the Marketplace area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Join Xbox LIVE. Follow the steps for creating a profile.Â
