Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer’s hardware

I was wondering to apply the subsequent strings via command prompt "sysprep /oobe /generalize /shutdown".

It gets down and thereafter I encounter with imagex and thereafter when I try port in into HP t5740e Thin Client, it results in the following error dialogued box.

Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware.

Hi James Craig,

If you’re trying to install windows, then go for a clean install. It can update your every device driver and firmware that is available from your installer. Some malware and viruses stays in your hard drive even if you reinstall your OS. That error also occurs if you’re trying to install windows 7 to a hard disk that is old or had old firmware. Window 7 SP1 will resolve the problem.

Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer’s hardware

Hi Jesus, 

This error is common and known with win 7 but has been resolved already with the SP1 version of Win 7. Unfortunately, from the original version there is an issue with the Intel Controller Driver that causes this behavior. The easiest way to fix this is to: 

 

1. Download the latest drivers of your computer's hard drive. Save it into a CD or Flash Drive. Site to download. (Of course you have to do this from another computer.)

2. Restart the Installation of win 7. 

3. Watch for the “Load Driver” option, you will then see “Where do you want to install windows?” On the right bottom part of the screen.

4. Connect/Insert CD or Flash drive that has the Drivers.

5. Click “Load Driver” then just continue with the setup.

Hi Jesus D Stowe,

In order for you to install a clean operating system on your computer, please insert the disk and then perform a boot up of the computer, wait for it to load and wait for the message that will say "Press any key to continue…" After wards, you will be brought to the setup of the software installer, after it, follow all the necessary instructions, the setup will perform several rebooting process, it is fine so don't panic, get through all the requirements and your software will be installed.
