Why Windows Live Mail is not working

Hi there,

I need a little help in here. My computer is running in windows vista home basic. This error keeps showing up when I try and send mail:

Server Error: 0x80048820
Server: https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error:0x80048820

It also says “Windows Live Mail needs to download the folders before you can read messages in this account. To download the folders, click Download. But when I do try to download, it will show the same error message.

Can anybody help me?

Why Windows Live Mail is not working

 

 

To download the folder, try following steps

1.       Open internet explorer

2.       Go to Menu bar and then click on tools in the menu bar

3.       In the tools option look for manage add-ons.

4.       Enable all add-ons for window live.

If the error 80048820 still exists try these steps:

1.       Look if date and time are up to date.

2.       Re-register the security.dll files.

3.       Clear messenger proxy setting.

4.       Reset the proxy server for internet explorer.

5.       Make sure internet explorer isn’t set to work offline

6.       Check and clear the entries in the Hosts file

7.       Clear the DNS cache

8.       Set internet explorer setting to use SSL.

Why Windows Live Mail is not working

 

Dear,

There is an easy way to solve this problem. Please follow the following steps:

1. Open the MSN and then Hotmail from there.

2. Log in there with your Windows Live Id

3. Save this webpage and create a desktop icon for this webpage 

4. Now you can access your mail directly by clicking that icon whenever you want plus you can send and receive emails directly from there.

It will solve your problem.
