Why Google chrome set any search engine as default?

I don’t think there is a web browser that is able to do that unless there is a malicious program running on your computer that is affecting how web browsers function. Normally, when a web browser is installed, a default search engine is already set. You can check it in the settings of the browser. If you don’t like the pre-selected search engine of the web browser, you can select a different search engine for the web browser and it will be used every time you use the browser.

Though you can change the default search engine, the web browser itself doesn’t change the search engine randomly. If this is what’s happening to your web browser, reinstall it or maybe upgrade it to the latest version. Whether you are installing Google Chrome for your own user account or for all user accounts on your computer, visit Google Chrome Standalone for Windows.

One possible reason why Google Chrome seems to replace the search engine you selected is if there are other users that uses your user account or know your password and login to your user account. It is also best to scan your computer for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your entire computer.
