Where can I get the free driver StarTech Wireless Adapter?

I just reformatted my desktop and I can't find my driver for my StarTech 300 Mbps USB 802.11n Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter.  I am now on Windows 8.  Where can I get the free driver StarTech USB300WN2X2D?  Thanks in advance.

Where can I get the free driver StarTech Wireless Adapter?

 

There is no driver for StarTech 300 Mbps USB 802.11n Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter. You have to connect this device properly and you will resolve your issue. This is Wireless Network Adapter and you have to configure this device with your system and then note the device’s model number to search for the Wireless driver.

I think you are owning this Network Adapter (USB 802.11N Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter – 300 Mbps High Power 2T2R Wi-Fi 2.4/5GHz) like shown in the picture.

 

With regards to your question, you can download directly the driver here for free from their website.

The driver is compatible in Windows 8 (32/64-bit).

Where can I get the free driver StarTech Wireless Adapter?

If you lost the driver for your Wi-Fi adapter after formatting your computer and reinstalling Microsoft Windows, you can always download it from the manufacturer’s website. For StarTech USB300WN2X2D Wi-Fi adapter, go to StarTech USB300WN2X2D USB 802.11N Dual Band Wireless Network Adapter and download the driver. The latest available driver at the moment supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10.

For servers, it supports Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 R2. For Mac, it supports OS X 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, and tested to run until 10.9 Mavericks. For Linux, it supports Linux 2.6.32 and higher. Note: download the driver on your computer to serve as backup. Manufacturers regularly remove drivers from their website for very old models.
