Hello To All
I have been holding out from getting a new computer until windows 8 comes out. Is there a official release date set yet.

Microsoft announced that Windows 8 will release 26 Oct, 2012. You need to wait until that. But now you can use Windows 8 release preview. It is a beta version of Windows 8. You can download this version from the Microsoft official website without any cost. In my PC I already installed Windows 8 release preview. So you can try it and enjoy the new feature.

Windows 8 is set to be launched on the 26th of October 2012. So you'll have to wait until this fall if you want to buy a new PC with Windows 8 pre-installed.
You should know that production phase of Windows 8 has come to a close, the operating system reaching RTM status (release to manufacturing). This is the part when the code goes golden and is being sealed and delivered to disk pressing plants and OEM manufacturers.
So this fall you'll probably acquire your new PC from an OEM manufacturer that has pre-installed the new version of Windows 8. If you can't wait that long, don't worry Windows 8 has almost the same system requirements as Windows 7 did, even running faster and more stable on some designated machines. If you were to buy a new PC now you will probably get the next iteration in Windows OS for free or at an incredible discount. They do this in order to keep the sales of PCs on the floating level until the new OS comes out.

Microsoft is now ready to release its much awaited Windows 8. The official announcement of  the released date of Windows 8 is October  26, 2012. This announcement was made during  Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference 2012. Windows President Steven Sinofsky has made this official date announcement himself.
After a lineage of number of  Operating systems which are having  a position in a majority of computers all over the world, Microsoft has come up with an advanced and revolutionized version of the windows. It has already been released to manufacturer on August  1st, 2012 and is yet to be launched for the general public.  Microsoft Windows 8 is built with new user interface based on Metro Design Language enrolling new features. One should have to wait till October end for new version of own reliable and exciting new windows.
