Microsoft has been releasing Windows phone for quite a time now. They recently released Microsoft Windows Phone 8 OS. What are its interesting features and short comings?
It is just another Windows Phone OS (second generation) released by Microsoft in October 2012. Based on Metro design language, it features a flat UI. Windows Phone 8.1 succeeded it in April, 2014. Windows Phone became the first OS use the Windows NT kernel in mobile phones. It has improved features for the file system, security, etc.
It uses true multitasking allowing running apps in the background and resuming instantly. Kids’ Corner is an added feature for “guest mode.” It also supports driving mode, Data Sense, NFC, and Wallet. Xbox Smart Glass assists controlling Xbox 360 and one. Similarly, you can remotely manage your Windows Phone just like your Windows PCs. So, it is an improved OS compared to its predecessors.
