Thanks for sharing.

Dear SECC means Single Edge Contract Cartridge.

These processors were attached to the slot not in socket.

These processors were attached to the computer just as we attach the RAM.

Theses processors we used in Pentium II and III.

After these series, the slot processors or SECC processors became unavailable.

Now mostly, LGA Land grid array and PGA pin grid array processors are used in these days.

SECC Processor or short-term for Single Edge Contact Cartridge is a processor cartridge to hold the Intel microprocessors like Pentium II/II/Pro and Celeron. I plug this into a motherboard and contain a single edge processor package. This was also designed to hold also the external cache. SECC sometimes also known as Slot 1 because this was usually plugged into Slot 1 on the motherboard.
