Its been a couple of days and I have experimented with it alot but could not understand why my PC does not recognise my Western Digital 1TB External Hard drive? I have reinstalled disk management but still the Hard Drive does not show up. Is my drive damaged?

Does your External Hard drive have 2 usb cables? Some external hard drives, usually high-capacity ones, have an extra USB cable, which is used to give additional power for the storage device. This power is much needed because it targets to have a fast and accurate access even if the storage capacity is very big. If using the 2 USB cables still does not make your hard drive to be detected, maybe the actual USB ports in your computer system are not working. Try to connect smaller-sized flash drives in your USB ports and see if they are detected normally. Let me know either way if the 2 methods above either worked or did not work.
