Blockchain is a chain of blocks, but not in the traditional sense of these words. The block has digital information stored in a public database known as the chain. Information about transactions like the date, time, and amount of your last purchase is stored in blocks. It keeps information about participants of the transactions. Each block stores a unique code called a “hash” that distinguishes it from other blocks. A single block on the blockchain can store up to 1 MB of data that means a single block can retrieve a few thousand transactions.
