Using guidelines in Adobe Flash and what are the tools to use

I would like to know more about Adobe Flash CS4. What is the proper use of Property Inspector? What are the attributes associated with it? In grid options, Please explain to me the properties that I change to customize the appearance of it in my Flash view. What is the purpose of Snap to Grid? What are the attributes that we can use to manipulate an object or shape in a Flash project? How to publish the Flash project and export it? What are the file types that we can use to export the project?
