USB version upgrade and specification problem

Hi there,

I have this Dell i7 desktop with USB port rated 2.0, lately I have seen USB rating of 3.0 in the market, how can I upgrade my machine to USB 3.0, and what is the difference between the two versions of USB?

USB version upgrade and specification problem

Hi !

You have to check on the main web site of Dell Official Support to search and check if your PC can be upgraded on USB port devices. If you can make an upgrade go to an authorized service to change your main USB ports 2.0 with a new one with USB port 3.0.

The difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 are the rate transfer of data. USB 2.0 have a rate transfer UP to 480/Mbps while the USB 3.0 has a rate transfer UP to 4.8/Gbps it means a speed 10 times higher.
