Hi there,

After a long work time on a project in AutoCAD this error messed up everything and I lost all. After I click OK my PC froze and I had to reset the PC. Now this error appears more often and I don’t have a solution for it. Can anyone help me please to fix this ? What is causing this ?

Thank you !

A fatal error in a program can be caused by anything. It can be caused by a corrupted file, incorrect or incomplete installation, a problem in the registry, and others. If you are currently working on a project when the error hits you, it can be due to other running programs that conflicts with AutoCAD. That’s why it is important to do constant saving for sudden incidents like this.

Since you already lost your work, try opening AutoCAD again and load other files or open any of your old projects just to see if the fatal error will happen again. If it appears again, uninstall AutoCAD, restart your computer and install AutoCAD back. See if this fixes the problem. If not, restart your computer and then disable your antivirus. Start AutoCAD and see if there is a change.

If AutoCAD runs normally, disable your antivirus whenever you want to work with AutoCAD. But also remember every time you do this avoid accessing the internet while the antivirus is deactivated. Also, try upgrading AutoCAD LT to the latest version.
