Unable to use Yahoo Messenger to join into a chat room

Hello experts,

I have a problem. I cannot use Yahoo Messenger to join into a chat room because I find an Internet Explorer script error message, and when I try, the messenger crashes.

Also, I have tried to uninstall it and after that, I reinstalled Messenger, but same issue.

It seems that Yahoo Messenger excesses of Internet Explorer.

Currently, if I am installing Yahoo! Internet Explorer, then it will solve the problem, because it is apparently intended to work with Yahoo! Messenger.

However I have used Messenger 7.0 version, even though the version doesn’t look to be of effect.

For last few days, I tried to fix the trouble. I am using registry cleaners; also I am defragment the hard drive, trying to scan for viruses, as well as deleting cookies, but till now, when I attempt to enter into the chat, I find the error message.

What should I do now? Need your help.

Please help me to solve this error message.

Hi Muench,

Apparently it seems to be a firewall or proxy issue. Kindly check and change your firewall settings. Kindly Check all your firewall & proxy settings. Disable all the proxy then Try to re-login. Your issue will be resolved.

Thanks

If you don’t have scripts enabled then messenger could send the error message. You can follow below steps:

Tools(on your Internet Explorer toolbar)> Internet options> Security Tab> Internet (Globe Icon)> Custom level.

Scroll down to “Scripting” Enable all: 1. Active scripting 2. Allow paste operations via script 3. Scripting of Java applets are all enabled .

Then click ok and restart your browser.

You also try to delete the whole yahoo messenger directory and reinstall the software again You can find that in program files in your c drive.

Hope this could fix your problem.
