Recently, my computer was infected with some malware which makes my Worry Free Business Security (WFBS) 7 software disabled. I cannot start it anymore so I tried to uninstall it to perform a clean install again. But I was unable to do that. I am trying to remove it through the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs. It is showing an error as shown below:

An error has stopped the removal of the software

No changes have been made to this computer.

Yes you can delete the program of the group Trend Micro Worry-Free Business Security Agent on the Windows Start menu using the following steps:

1.     Go to Control Panel > Network Connections > Select a NIC > Properties.

2.     Remove Trend Micro Common Firewall Driver or Trend Micro NDIS 6.0 Filter Driver.

3.     Repeat Step 10 for each NIC until all drivers are removed.

4.     Run the following command:

regsvr32 /u /s "%INSTALL_ROOT%UniClientUiFrmwrktmdshell.dll"
taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe

5.     Restart the computer.

6.     Delete the following folders:

o    C:Program FilesTrend MicroAMSP

o    C:Program FilesTrend MicroSecurity Agent

o    C:Program FilesTrend MicroUniClient

Note: Do the following only if there are no other Trend Micro products is installed on the machine.

Open a command prompt with Administrator privilege and enter the following commands:

cd programdata

rmdir /S "Trend Micro"

7.     Remove the offline Security Agent from the Security Server:

 .      Log on to the WFBS console.

a.     Click Security Settings.

b.     Select the offline Security Agent from the Client Management Tree.

c.     Click Remove.

d.     Select Remove the selected inactive agent(s) and click Apply.

 

7.     Remove the offline Security Agent from the Security Server:

 .      Log on to the WFBS console.

a.     Click Security Settings.

b.     Select the offline Security Agent from the Client Management Tree.

c.     Click Remove.

d.     Select Remove the selected inactive agent(s) and click Apply.
