I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 which I recently (yesterday) got from a the market. Then I started to configure VPN on Xperia, now when I use a free VPN client to connect it says vpn is not supported by this phone. I am really stressed as it is a new brand phone.

Here is how to configure new VPN connection on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10
Add a new VPN connection:

Press the Home icon,> Menu, and Choose Settings

Choose Wireless & networks

Choose VPN settings

Choose Add VPN
-
Choose the type of VPN you want to add (PPTP, L2TP, L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN, L2TP/IPsec CRT VPN)

Fill in VPN details.
Connecting to the VPN:

Press the Home icon >Menu, and Choose Settings

Choose Wireless & networks
-
Choose VPN settings

You will find The VPN connections you have added.

Choose the VPN you wish to connect to

A dialog box will open asking for your credentials, enter them and touch connect
