Hi,

I’m an XP user, and I usually change the destination folder of favorites in internet explorer from it’s default position to another directory. And It is where I exclusively store all such files. But I’m not able to make similar changes of directory in Windows Vista UAC using IE7. I’m getting this unspecified error (please see image below).

Can someone please help me. Thank you.

If this is the first time it happened during your session with Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, quit the application, restart your computer then try it again. If you still can not do it in Windows Vista using Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 7, maybe the task you are doing is really not permitted with this version of the program.

Try upgrading Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 7 to a much higher version. I am using Windows XP Service Pack 3 and I upgraded Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 6 [this is the default version for Windows XP] to Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer 8. Why not try upgrading your present version of Microsoft Windows Internet Explorer to this one I’m using so you can also check if you are able to move the destination folder of favorites.

You may also try installing different web browsers, like for example, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Maxthon, Netscape, and others.
