When i plug out the modem and pug it again the laptop cannot be detected unless i click continue on the pop up window. Kindly assist me to get over this pop up window.

Hello Christinewangari,

The provided image shows that the paths DeviceHarddisk1DR4, DR4 is referred to DriveRemovable, whereas 4 indicates the assigned number for the removable drive by the OS.

It probably be the USB HostControllerID allotted by the Windows during the setup. You should try to plug in your device to another USB port and see is the DR4 changed to some other and the error is gone. It probably be the bad port issue or the USB controller might be malfunctioning. Hope it might help you rectify the issue you are facing.

Hi,

This step should resolve the issue. Insert the modem before starting the computer. Next, change the drive letter for the modem to another letter (other than C).

If that fails, switching the modem to another usb port should resolve the issue. I would recommend a full hardware and software diagnostic scan to check any issues affecting your pc. Belarc Advisor is one such utility to use.
