Turbo C is a programming language which runs on a Disk Operating System (DOS) which was introduced during the 1980s. This language uses only text in programming that is why it was soon superseded by languages which interacts with graphics. The fact that Turbo C is losing its compatibility with the current Operating System such as Windows 7 and still moving forward, it is still being taught in colleges, universities, and institutions.

What makes it relevant to teach such language which is now considered as obsolete in programming world?

Hi there Yana Mae! I want you to know that  Turbo C is not absolutely obsolete so it should be still taught by colleges, universities and institutions. There's a solution on how Turbo C will become compatible with Operating systems like Windows Vista and Windows 7.

With the help of " Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0" software you can work Turbo C perfectly on Windows Vista and Windows 7. This software is like a C to windows vista and C to windows 7. All you have to do is download Emulated Turbo C++ IDE 3.0 and install like normal software.  I hope that this has enlightened you about Turbo C. Thanks.

A language is a thing that can take your data and converts it to computer language. The language you use is easy to understand by you and the compiler compiles the data in its language that is useful for that purpose. So if you need to tell some thing to computer then you need to tell it to computer that this is the thing i want to do through your equipment. So here programming is involved you need to tell it by some method the Turbo C provide a good programming platform for this task. you can easily tell the computer that what you want to do and computer does the same thing.

Any other program that run on window takes resources of computer and window then may you need a window to do some task or special characters to do some thing. But in turbo it does not have to use to much resources of your computer you can use it every where and it is easy to use and do any task related to your programming line. This provides a base and then you can do any thing of your choice as you needs.
