I am having problems when trying to upgrade BIOS on ASUS P5N-D. I have never tried to do this before. When I downloaded the update and had it put on a FAT32 flash disk the .bin file was found in ezflash 2 when the computer was restarted. The only drives that I see now are drives A and C and for some reason which I don’t know my main drive cannot be found. Drive A was found to be empty and C drive is the CD drive. I am now unable to access the update.
Can someone help me figure out this mess?

To restore the drives that you are unable to see, you will need to do the following:
-
You will need to right click on my computer.
-
And then you will select Manage.
-
Next you will need to select disk Management.
-
There you will be able to see all your partitions and drives listed there in the right panel.
-
You will need to find and identify the drive that you are not able to see on your computer.
-
Write on the partition and then choose add drive letter and path / change drive letter and path.
-
You will need to assign a new drive letter from the drop down box;
-
And after that you will click Ok.
Go back to the computer window and see if the partition can be seen now.

Troubles in upgrading BIOS on ASUS P5N-D
Updating the BIOS supposedly is easy. But users should remember that if the BIOS is working fine and you are not experiencing any problem, you don’t need to update it if you are not sure with what you are doing. Updating the BIOS is only recommended in the event of new features like support for new CPUs and unlocking CPUs or fixed features.
If you want to continue updating your computer’s BIOS, first, you need to download the latest BIOS update for your computer or motherboard. For ASUS P5N-D motherboard, go to Product Support for ASUS P5N-D. Here, select “BIOS & FIRMWARE” tab then download the latest BIOS update and unpack or extract the ZIP file. Copy the file to a USB flash drive.
After this, with the USB flash drive plugged in to the USB port, restart the computer then press Del, Delete, F2, or whichever key is used to go to the BIOS. In the BIOS, go to “Tool” then “EZ Flash” and make a note of your current BIOS version. Next, select the USB device, select the file, and hit Enter.
Before applying the update, you will be prompted for the last time. Review this and accept then restart the computer when it is finished. After this, check the BIOS version again to make sure the update was applied. Lastly, you need to configure the BIOS settings again manually after the update.
