Hi,

I use my computer to create articles for publication. I had a bad experience months ago.

My hard drive crashes, that is why I learn my lesson well. I am now implementing some disaster prevention by having a daily back-up of all my files. On one occasion when I am about to back up my files, I did not succeed, there is an error "the transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server".

 

System Protection

There was an unexpected error in the property page:

The transfer syntax is not supported by the RPC server.

(0x800706C2)

Please close the property page and try again.

I am wondering why, since I've  been doing my back-up for almost a month now and there is no problem. I tried to reboot my computer and do the back-up again, same error message appeared.

I don't have an idea now on the error, please share some ideas, on what shall I do.

Hello James,

This kind of error usually occurs due to two reasons. First, It may be brought about by spyware and Adware or virus bugs. Second, it is usually caused when the operating system's registry contains errors or when certain system files are missing or broken. This error is a sign of e very unhealthy system.
