Hi,

I will tell you how to create a bootable disk.

Please follow the instruction very carefully.

1.       Run command prompt.

2.       In the command prompt, please type diskpart and press Enter.

3.       In the diskpart option, type list disk. Then you can see all active drives will be displayed in the command prompt. Make sure that your USB pen is plugged in.

4.       Select your USB pen drive. If your pen drive is disk 1 you have to type select disk 1.

5.       Then type clean. This will delete all your data in the pen drive.

6.       Type create a partition primary

7.       Then you have to type select partition 1

8.       Type active

9.       Type format fs=ntfs

10.   Then type assign

11.   Now insert your Windows DVD and type D: CD BOOT. Then press Enter.

Note:  I assumed D is your DVD drive.

12.   Then type again CD BOOT and press Enter.

13.   After you have to type BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:

Note: I assumed H is your USB drive.

Now you have almost done. Exit the command prompt and go to DVD drive from windows explorer. Select all data and copy. Then paste it to your USB drive. That’s all. You don’t have to learn from a video tutorial. But if you still need a video tutorial please watch –

This is a very simple method. If you want to do this using a tool go to this link and download this.

Run this application and give paths to USB and WINXP cd drive. That’s all.
