While working with my computer, I needed to clean up my auto complete passwords and avoid a situation where someone would get into my accounts without permission. To achieve this I cleaned up all history, unfortunately I ended up losing even my url history. Is there a guide or tutorial on how to retrieve deleted urls?

Hello,

Try with this link: https://static.spiceworks.com/attachments/post/0001/1399/wp.Registry_Quick_Find_Chart.en_us.pdf Here in this .pdf file you can find out where in your computer you can find information such as typed URL’s, web form data, IE Auto-Complete Passwords, Web Address and a lot of other things.

Also you can use IE History Viewer. Downloading link and more details you can find on this website: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/iehv.html

Hi Sophiaa,

There is a file on your computer that can track your URL history called INDEX.DAT. Look for the Cookies folder make sure that you navigate under documents and settings then your username on the computer. Set the Window to view hidden files and folders and you will find index.dat. However it is a binary file so it ends up unreadable. I can suggest a reader for it you can just download it and then view all your history. The link is found here.
