Is there a database availability security?

Hello experts,

Is there a database availability security? I would like to put password with my database which is ms access, is it possible? Some people can access my laptop every business days and I am afraid that some confidential files will be read or steal. I just want to be the one that has an authority for this. Thank you.

Hello Benjamin,

If you are using MS access for your databases, you can encrypt your precious data with the "encrypt with a password" feature of ms access. For doing that you need to exclusively open your database > go to the database tools in the tool bar and select Encrypt with Password > Create a password for your database. This will secure your database to some extent and your precious data will not be accessible to unauthorized users.
