The Themes app of the CyanogenMod’s core developers is the latest commercial endeavor of Cyanogen Inc. The company has joined hands with a partnership with India’s Micromax. These apps can be used to customize the smartphones with artistic content to the taste of the user’s heart. Is the Themes Studio of Cyanogen OS smartphone successful?
If your Android Smartphone is running on Jelly Bean or Ice Cream Sandwich, Cyanogen’s new Theme app will not work for you. The new Theme app requires Android 4.4 KitKat and above so if you want to install and use it on your phone, check if your Smartphone is eligible for an update to Android 4.4 KitKat.
You can download the new Theme app from Cyanogen Theme Showcase. The app allows you to combine styles, fonts, boot animations, icons, sounds, and wallpapers from various themes so you can create your own unique look. Also, Cyanogen Inc. launched a contest dubbed Themes Design Challenge on November 24, 2014 and invited content creators and artists around the world to submit their themes to Themes Studio.
The contest is for the Cyanogen operating system which comes pre-installed on mobile devices. Qualified theme packs that were submitted to the Themes Design Challenge will be made available when the new Theme app is released which also comes pre-installed on selected phones with Cyanogen operating system. The Themes Design Challenge contest will end on December 14, 2014 and that’s tomorrow at 5 PM Pacific time.
