I have a computer with configuration Duel-Core (2.6 GHz), 2 GB RAM. Now-a-days it is automatically shut down without any notice.

System shut down without notice.

Extra temperature is one of the main causes of sudden shut down. Check your system fan and check BIOS temperature setting. Also check BIOS power setting. Check your HDD with updated antivirus, Virus can increase your PC temperature by doing bulks activities.

We should be sure about HDD and Virus affect. Disconnect your HDD from computer and run it with linux cd. If HDD is the main cause, then now your PC will run without troubling. If troubling again it means, HDD is okay.

He is sometimes hardware problem. When your machines become hot, then this problem occurs. It may happen when you overuse your PC.

Also it can be for power supply problems. If your PC can't get required power, then it becomes powerless and cause auto shut down.

Also it can be for the virus.

You should:

1. Check power supply connection that whether your PC is unable to get required power.

2. Clean your PC. Remove dusts.

3. Scan for virus.

Then hope no more unwanted shut down will occur.

Hello,

There are various reasons for auto shutdown of a computer. One reason may be overheating processor. When the processor becomes overheated, it’s shut down to save your computer from damage. For this problem you should have to clean all the dust, Check the cooling fans if they working properly and manage a new thermal compound. I hope by doing so you can solve the problem.

Hi,

It is obvious that you are facing the following problems.

1. Hardware is involved in shutting the system down.

2. If the CPU is overheated than this problem may occur.

3. Clean dust among the CPU fan and heat sink body.

4. A failing power supply unit can also cause this kind of problems.

5. To shun failure of work, set up usual backup options in your applications.
