System Error on backing up database file from floppy disk

I am trying to recover or backup a database file from an old 5.25 floppy disc. I really just wanted to see the files. I tried several commands in DOS prompt but I am getting this error; SystemError: Illegal Free 0" or “System Error: Illegal Free with some other number”. Does anyone know what would be the command to backup and restore from an old file stored in a floppy disk? Many thanks.

There are a lot of software that you can use to recover old files from a floppy disc. You can backup the old files of the floppy disc once the files are restored. First, look on the internet for a free file recovery software. Make sure that the software can recover files from the floppy disc. Once the software is downloaded and installed, insert the floppy disk in drive of the computer, launch the program and start recovering your old files. Take note of the following after recovering your old files:

1. Floppy disks near magnets can cause loss of data.

2. It is not advisable to reuse the floppy disk where you have recovered your old files.
