Sophos Enterprise Console an unexpected error

Hello there,

Suddenly on my desktop this error appeared and I had to close my antivirus. Is for the first time when Sophos gives me errors and I don’t know how to solve them. Can anyone help me please to fix this one ? What is causing this ?

Sophos Enterprise Console an unexpected error

If you are trying to update your Sophos antivirus, it probably encountered a problem while opening the interface. If the console is open, close it then restart your computer. After booting the machine, check if you have an active internet connection. Open your web browser and open a website. Verify that you have an internet connection.

Next, start Sophos and then begin updating it. If the same unexpected error was thrown, reinstall the program. Uninstall Sophos then restart your computer. Install the application back and then update it. Updating your antivirus after installing it is mandatory so that your antivirus will have the latest virus signatures and will be able to recognize latest threats.

Simply installing an antivirus is not enough if you’ll not update it. When installing an antivirus, it normally has an obsolete virus database. In this case, if you will not update it and a newer virus enters the computer, the application will not be able to recognize it.
