Reminders can be via cellphones, emails, or computers.

For cellphones, you can always use the calendar to create a reminder. You don't need a different software to do this. Just open the calendar, select the date when you want to be reminded and add a task. You may enter there the time and other details of the reminder. Modern cellphones have really good features for reminders; it can remind you 30 minutes before the start time and repeat every day or every other day, etc.

For emails, you can use Yahoo mail to set a reminder. It will either email you or prompt you using the Yahoo Messenger (if you are logged in), depending on how you want to be reminded. Google also has a reminder feature. It can also either email you or create a pop up on your computer. All you have to do for both mails is to choose the calendar option and select the day when you want to be reminded. You can also set there a daily reminder or several reminders if you like.
