When using the Excel bar code creator, I have been experiencing problems when it comes to setting the parameter of the Height and Width, how do you set the width or the height for the bar code symbols?

Apart from that how do you set the rotation parameters as well? It is in zero, what are the ranges allowable?

Hi Sjohn!

What barcode creator add-in are you using for Excel? In Microsoft Excel if you are using the Tbar add-in, you will have 3 different sizing modes. These modes would allow you to manipulate the size of your barcode.

  • Fit to Selected Cell – this sizing mode draws the barcode in the size of the selected cell.
  • Fit into bounding box – the barcode is always drawn into the size of the bounding box. The module width adopts to the amount of data.
  • Fixed module width – The width of the barcode is adjusted to the amount of data to be encoded.

Just select one of these options for you to customize the size of your barcode. There are for options for barcode rotation: 0, 90, 180 and 270 degrees. You can set it to 0 for no rotation.

Hi Sjohn,

If you are using Identicode in generating bar codes there is a way to set the width on it just first set the barcode type, then set the data, and then set the width.

You can do the same for the height. If you are having difficulty finding your way on your current barcode generator you can download Identicode here.

You might have more questions regarding barcode creation you can also check this add in it also has a tutorial.

Then you can see which one is easier for you to use.
