I used to access yahoo mail on my iPhone but recently it gives me a server hang up error. I installed Opera browser and tried it but still the same problem repeats. I am using a 3G iPhone. The problem exists whether I use Wi-Fi or cell phone network.

Unfortunately this is a Yahoo problem, which based on a number of posts all over the net last 3+ years and has been on again off again problems on a regular basis.
Anyway, try this and hope it fixes your problem;

Can try turning you iPhone off then on when you experience this problem. Then after the iPhone goes back on, try accessing yahoo mail again.

When Yahoo mail seems to hang up, check if your Internet connection is still active. Try browsing the net using Safari. If you have a connection and Yahoo mail is still hanging up, then I'm afraid you can't fix it.

Try using Gmail, which can be accessed as an IMAP account with the iPhone's mail app and with an email client on your computer.
