Save Draft Error using Mac Operating System

Hi,

I just upgraded TB 2. X to TB 3.0.1using Mac Operating System and getting this weird error message every time when I compose messages to send using Gmail account. The following error message appears while doing this action. I am unable to save my messages as drafts. It creates a data lost situation for me. Can I resolve this issue with your help? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please verify that your Mail & Newsgroups account settings are correct and try again.

Save Draft Error using Mac Operating System

The solution I can give you is to disable all the plugins and extensions you have in your Thunderbird. It could be QuickText or Enigmail or maybe a Mail Redirect that is causing this issue to appear. Try to disable one by one until you determine which one is causing the Save Draft Error.  Also, you can try to go to the Templates folder and then right-click your template. Then follow the steps below:

– Select Edit as New… And then go to New Composed Email.

– Choose File and then Save As. Choose Draft. Add a subject to easily locate it later.

– Close the New Composed Email.

– Search and locate the new email under the drafts folder and then continue on creating your email message.

Another way is to compact your Drafts folder. There may be numerous deleted drafts under it so you need to remove all.
