What would be the restriction on Windows Server 2003 that doesn't exist in recent version? How many passwords to be recalled when you’re checking the "Enforce Password History Remembered"?

Following are some of the restrictions that exist in Windows Server 2003:
RDOC (Read only Domain Controllers) these are introduced in newer version but was not in 2003.
It has console port limitation.
RDP limitation in terms of response time.
Network I/O slower (of course not “slow”).
RIS has been replaced by WDS.
MS Exchange 2003 would not install on it. Web edition is not supported.

Hope this satisfied your first part of the question. Now come to second part, it should recall exact same number of passwords which have been applied using GPO in "Enforce Password History Remembered". If you have not configured it then by default 6 passwords will be recalled.

Feel free to ask further.

Regards.
