Remind me hot key autorun preventing

Several times when I plug flash drive or CD something starts autorunning from files. Can you remind me the hot key autorun preventing?

To disable the AutoRun when inserting CD-Roms and Audio CDs, please follow the steps below:

1. Click the Start button and then Control Panel

2. Double-click System.

3. Double-click the CDROM branch under the Device Manager tab.

4. Double-click your CD-ROM drive.

5. Under the Settings tab, untick the Auto Insert Notification check box.

6. Click OK and then click Close. Restart your computer.

Hello Davis Avon,

It is very simple to prevent a CD or DVD from auto playing. When you insert the CD or DVD into the drive, you will see a blinking CD icon with an arrow. Then, press and hold the SHIFT key. It will prevent the CD or DVD from auto playing. I hope you got your answer. Thanks.

Hello Dear,

It is so easy to stop the autorun of CD/DVD or Flash drive when we insert it.

Dear, when you insert a CD or DVD into the drive or attach a flash memory to the computer then Press and hold SHIFT key to prevent it from autorun.

I hope now you will remember this hot key to prevent autorun.

Thanks to all of the experts, your comments are invaluable. Mahons Pedro, you are right; there is a very easy way to prevent a CD or a DVD from auto playing. Even though I learned that after reading your solution, your solution has made me knowledgeable and again, thanks for helping me.
